JAKARTA - Chairman of the Indonesian People's Consultative Assembly (Musra) Andi Gani said the results of the 16th Indonesian Musra in Yogyakarta placed Airlangga Hartarto consistently in the top three positions.

"Consistents are in the top three. Airlangga's leadership character is said to be in accordance with the characteristics of the Javanese people," he said in a written statement, Wednesday, February 1, quoted by Antara.

Airlangga, a presidential candidate from the Golkar Party, received 717 votes or 20.16 percent, out of a total of 3,557 votes participating in the event.

Meanwhile, Prabowo Subianto was in first place with 1,074 votes or 30.19 percent and in second place in Ganjar Pranowo with 907 votes or 25.50 percent.

The chairman of the Musra Indonesia Panel Barus Committee added that Airlangga's consistency in the vote acquisition at each Musra was because the party engine had moved.

Barus explained that participants who attended Musra Indonesia were always different in each region. According to him, the votes achieved in each Musra are real votes. So that the implementation of Musra can be used as an illustration for the next election.

Barus also emphasized that his party did not prohibit party machines from moving. According to him, what Musra forbidden was the one who tampered with Musra's voting results.

Previously, the name Airlangga also continued to be in the top three. Even in some areas, such as Gorontalo, West Sulawesi, Banten, and most recently in South Kalimantan, Airlangga took the lead and was in first place.
