The management course, which directly brought in experts from the UK, is one of the police's efforts to improve stadium security management.

This reflects on the Tragedi Kanjuruhan which has become a bitter experience so that it doesn't happen again. Given that football is the sport with the highest number of fans, both in the country and abroad.

The National Police started to improve management by conducting a thorough evaluation, as well as issuing Police Regulation (Perpol) Number 10 of 2022 concerning Security of the Implementation of Sports Competition.

"This is a new thing because frankly some time ago there were few of our members who understood the rules. With this event, we inevitably have to make changes and accelerate," said Sigit.

According to Sigit, this improvement effort does not stop here, the National Police continues to improve its capabilities, one of which is by organizing stadium security management courses in order to improve the capabilities of the National Police HR.

"This is a commitment of the police and all organizers and football lovers to continue to arrest and prepare human resources to be ready to hold competitions, both domestically and internationally, by realizing football operations in accordance with FIFA standards," said Sigit.

A lecturer at Coventry University Prof. Mike Hardi mentioned that his party has noted several notes to improve security and safety in organizing football matches.

According to him, there are three things that can be a focus for the police to improve in stadium security management so that football matches can be enjoyed safely and comfortably, namely communication, coordination, and collaboration.

"How is the communication with related parties? How to coordinate the responsibilities of each party? How can we collaborate together to develop infrastructure and resources to create football can be enjoyed safely and comfortably?" said Hardi.

In closing this course, representatives from the Ministry of PUPR were also present, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the General Chairperson of PSSI Muhammad Iriawan, and the President Director of PT LIB Ferry Paulus.
