JAKARTA - An area of about 53 hectares of the former HGU of the Rajawali II sugar factory, in Cidangdeur Hamlet, Pasirbungur Village, Purwadadi District, Subang Regency, West Java, will be certified to be given to the local community. "Previously we have tried to convey the aspirations of the people to the Ministry of ATR/BPN to fight for the land of the former HGU which has become a residential area," said Subang Regent, Ruhmat, in Subang, Antara, Wednesday, January 1. The community plans to obtain a certificate of land for the former right to use (HGU) of the sugar factory in June 2023. He said that the certified land could later be utilized properly by the community, and not traded. "My message is, don't let the land that has been certified be sold," he said. Head of the Regulation and Empowerment Section of the National Land Agency (BPN) Subang, Hengky Sipayung, said that his party had carried out data collection for the land levy program. "We are from BPN, in accordance with data collection a few months ago, there are about 53 hectares of land from the former HGU of sugar factories in Subang that were proposed for the land levy program," he said. It was said that this year his party submitted it to the provincial and central levels related to the land retribution program or land certification program for the community. "Hopefully we get help from the regent to encourage the program," said Hengky. Head of the Subang Agriculture Service, Nenden Setiawati, said that the government always tries to help and realize the expectations of residents, one of which is the certification of land or land for the former HGU in Pasirbungur, Subang. "We are trying, local governments to circumvent land. I hope that residents will not become farm laborers, but become farmers in order to improve welfare," he said. Furthermore, for land processing, he said, the Agriculture Service will help distribute subsidized fertilizers, seeds, agricultural machinery and others.
