JAKARTA - Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Fadil Imran stated that he would immediately reconstruct the case of an accident that killed University of Indonesia (UI) student Muhammad Hasya Atallah Saputra. Later, external parties will be involved. "We plan to carry out reconstruction, involving all stakeholders with the aim of handling things that are running more transparently and objectively," Fadil Imran told reporters, Tuesday, January 31. The reconstruction aims to find the facts behind the accident. Moreover, there was a polemic because Hasya, who was a victim, was actually named a suspect. In fact, Eko Setia Budi Wahono, who is a retired police officer, is Hasya's crasher. "I emphasize to implement scientific investigation on road safety," he said. On the other hand, the former East Java Police Chief ensured that the investigation of the accident case would be objective. So, it can provide a sense of justice. "As Kapolda, I have instructed to handle it objectively, professionally and involve related experts," said Fadil. Meanwhile, in investigating this accident case, Polda Metro Jaya formed a fact-finding team (TPF). The formation is in accordance with the direction of the National Police Chief, General Listyo Sigit. "Of course, on the orders and directions of the National Police Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo. As the Regional Police Chief, I will take the first step to form a team to take steps to find facts," said Fadil. The team formed will consist of Irwasda Propam, Legal Sector, Directorate of Traffic, and Korlantas Polri. A traffic accident that killed University of Indonesia (UI) student Hasya Atallah Saputra (17) occurred on Srengseng Sawah Street, South Jakarta, on October 6, 2022. In the process of handling the case, the police named Hasya as a suspect. The reason was that the young man was driving carelessly. In addition, the police decided to stop handling the case. Because, Hasya as a suspect has passed away.
