JAKARTA - A middle-aged man named Ali Agus (55) was found dead from being electrocuted at a gallon refill on Jalan Permata 2, Kampung Melayu Village, Jatinegara District, East Jakarta, Monday, January 30. The victim was found lying stiff and blue where he worked.

According to May, the victim's wife, Ali, before being found dead, had disappeared since the last 3 days.

"It's been 3 days missing, just sit here and there. Sit on the last gallon (kios). Healthy condition, the last person was still having coffee (at home), the permit was to work," May told reporters at the location, Monday, January 30.

May received news that her husband died from a colleague of the victim.

"Knowing from the gallon workers, Mr. Agus said why he was sleeping there. Like to correct the gallon there, work in the gallon, in the afternoon (work) to guard the boarding houses," he said.

The East Jakarta Metro Police identification team, who arrived at the scene, immediately conducted a crime scene (TKP) and identified the victim's body.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the East Jakarta Metro Police, AKBP Ahsanul Muqaffi, stated that from the results of the crime scene, the police did not find any signs of violence on the victim's body.

"It (the cause of death) was electrically electrocuted," he told VOI.

For further processing, the victim's body was then evacuated by officers and put into an ambulance to be taken to the RSCM. Meanwhile, the case is being handled by the Jatinegara Police.
