2 Elementary Schools In Seko Lutra Remote Areas Renovated By PUPR Ministry

MAKASSAR - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) through the PUPR Education Program is currently renovating two elementary school buildings in a remote area of ​​North Luwu Regency, South Sulawesi.

"This school was built through the PUPR education program. Alhamdulillah, at Parahaleang Elementary School, the progress is already 80 percent. It's just the terrace that still needs to be repaired," said North Luwu Regent Indah Putri Indriani as reported by ANTARA, Sunday, January 29.

The two schools, namely SDN 076 Parahaleang and SDN 077 Padangbalua, are located in the farthest village of Seko District, directly adjacent to Sigi Regency, Central Sulawesi.

Indah explained that there were 12 schools that were intervened through the PUPR Education Program, nine of which had been completed and the rest were still in progress and the target this year had also been completed.

The Regent of Lutra has directly inspected the two elementary schools in the Seko District. The review was carried out to ensure that infrastructure development in remote areas runs smoothly.

At SDN 076 Parahaleang, six study rooms were built, one library building, and one office room.

The Principal of SDN 076 Parahaleang Natan explained that the condition of the previous school was very apprehensive, in fact it was far from being suitable for proper teaching and learning.

Natan admitted that he was grateful for the attention of the North Luwu Regional Government. Because even though they are in remote areas, even in the farthest villages, the attention to educational infrastructure is very great.

"In the past, our school was not feasible, now it has been built just like schools in the city," said Natan.
