The Surakarta City Government And The Ministry Of PUPR Will Immediately Revitalize The Surakarta Palace

SOLO - The Surakarta City Government together with the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) are currently reviewing the design of the Solo Palace building which will soon be revitalized by the government. "Yesterday I coordinated with the Director General of Human Settlements, we have been able to master the plan from 2017 and 2008. We have just compared this and we are waiting for the next step," said Surakarta Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka to Antara in Solo, Saturday, January 28. He hopes that the revitalization can be carried out soon following the completion of coordination related to themasterplan. "As soon as possible, if possible. This is a study that has been submitted, we will review it again, because two different years," he said. According to him, the contents of the two studies are different, so it still needs to be synchronized again. "I continue to coordinate with Gusti Purbaya (the son of Paku Buwono XIII), I will update again," he said.

Previously, the revitalization was not carried out immediately because the parties involved were less compact. "It's not internal to the palace, but yes from the city government (Surakarta City Government), PUPR (PUPR Ministry). This involves a lot of people. But if left unchecked, the damage will be more severe," he said. This is not certain when it will start, he actually wants the revitalization to be carried out as soon as possible. "The point is that he (the palace) has handed over everything to me, just wait. I want to hurry up. This is my knowledge, how many years I have participated," he said.
