Governor Andi Sudirman Sulaiman: South Sulawesi Provincial Government Bangun 11 Water Infrastructure Units Ready To Drink In 2023

JAKARTA - The South Sulawesi Provincial Government implemented a program to build 11 units of infrastructure, facilities and utilities (PSU) for ready-to-drinking water (archineum) in the Islands and Coastal Region in 2023.

South Sulawesi Governor Andi Sudirman Sulaiman in his statement in Makassar, quoted from Antara Saturday, January 28, said the Housing, Settlement and Land Office (Perkimtan) would build 11 units of the Arsinum PSU in the Selayar Islands and Pangkajene and Islands (Pangkep), Sinjai, Bone, Maros Regency.

Four of them are in Selayar Islands Regency, namely Bahuluang Island, Bahuluang Special Village, Bontosikuyu District, Karumpa Island, Karumpa Village, Pasilambena District; Latondu Island, Latondu Village, Takabonerate District; Tarupa Island, Talupa Village, Takabonerate District.

Two units will be built in the archipelago in Pangkep, namely Salemo Island, Mattiro Bombang Village, North Tupabiring District, and Saugi Island, Mattirobaji Village, North Tupabiring District.

As well as to be built other things, Kambuno Island Hamlet, Harapan Island Village, Pulau Sembilan District, Sinjai Regency, Bonto Jai Village Coastal Area, Bisappu District, Bantaeng Regency.

Gusunge Environmental Coast Area, Kalumememe Village, Ujungbulu District, Bulukumba Regency, Pesisir Area in Kuri Caddi Hamlet, Nisombalia Village, Marusu District, Maros Regency, and Pesisir Area, Langnga Village, Mattiro Sompe District, Pinrang Regency.

In 2022, the South Sulawesi Provincial Government has realized the construction of 10 administrative PSU units spread across several regions in South Sulawesi.

There are 10 points in eight regencies, namely Kanalo Island 2 in Sinjai Regency; Liukang Loe Island, in Bulukumba Regency, Libukang Island in Jeneponto Regency, Mattirotasi Village Coast in Pinrang Regency, Salebbo Mattirowalie Island, and Podang-Podang Island, in Pangkep Regency, Bonto Borusu Village, and Menara Indah Village, in Selayar Regency, Pannikiang Island, in Barru Regency, and Patongloan Village, in Enrekang Regency.

"Alhamdulillah, in 2022 we have built 10 units of electricity and the community has enjoyed the benefits of getting safe and healthy drinking water. This year 11 units of electricity will be built again," said South Sulawesi Governor Andi Sudirman Sulaiman.

He explained that the target for the construction of the ARSINUM PSU was to be given to the people of islands, coastal areas, and areas prone to drinking water properly and safely.

"We hope that this ARsinum will be useful for our people in the islands and on the coast, so that people can enjoy drinking water properly and safely," he explained.
