JAKARTA - The public prosecutor (JPU) charged the defendant Hendra Kurniawan with imprisonment for 3 years. Hendra is believed to be involved in obstructing the investigation into the death of Yosua alias Brigadier J for carrying out Ferdy Sambo's order to secure CCTV. "Demanding that the panel of judges impose a prison sentence on the defendant Hendra Kurniawan for 3 years," said the prosecutor during a trial at the South Jakarta District Court, Friday, January 27. The claim was given because Hendra Kurniawan followed Ferdy Sambo's orders as the Head of the Propam Police Division at that time. His order was to secure CCTV in the official residence area, Police Complex, South Jakarta. Thus, Hendra Kurniawan forwarded the order to witness Agus Nurpatra. Until finally, the CCTV was really taken and replaced. In fact, CCTV is an important piece of evidence to reveal the real cause of the death of Brigadier J. Therefore, the former Karo Paminal of the National Police's Propam Division is considered proven to have violated Article 49 in conjunction with Article 33 of Law Number 19 of 2016 concerning amendments to Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning Information and Electronic Transactions in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) to 1 of the Criminal Code. In this case, Hendra was charged with being involved in a case of obstructing the investigation or obstruction of justice in the premeditated murder case against Brigadier J. He was jointly charged with Baiquni Wibowo, Arif Rachman Arifin, Irfan Widyanto, Agus Nurpatra Adi Purnama, and Chuck Putranto. The case also dragged Ferdy Sambo. The former Head of the Propam Police Division was charged with premeditated murder and obstructed the investigation. Prosecutors have demanded that Ferdy Sambo be sentenced to life imprisonment. "Imposing a fine to the defendant Hendra Kurnian in the amount of Rp. 20 million, subsidiary to 3 months in prison," said the prosecutor.
