JAKARTA - Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono finally inaugurated the Kebayoran Lama Skywalk, South Jakarta. The inauguration of the flyover connecting the three modes of transportation was postponed several times. The initial plan, the Kebayoran Lama Skywalk was inaugurated on January 17, then postponed to January 19, postponed to January 24, until it was realized today. Heru explained that the reason for the postponement of the inauguration time was because it was still waiting for the completion of the revitalization of one of the Transjakarta bus stops. Then, the time determination is also adjusted by Heru's work agenda. "Of course, the matching time and Pak Kadis (Bina Marga Office) is still perfecting some, such as corridor 8, now it is only operational and also on time," said Heru after the inauguration, Friday, January 27. During the inauguration, Heru asked the officers and the public who used the Kebayoran Skwalk which was built with a budget of IDR 52 billion to be able to keep the public facilities functioning properly. "I inaugurate the use of the Kebayoran Skywalk to be used by the community and of course later, please take care of it, maintain it, and of course security. The Mayor (South Jakarta City), later the security of the Satpol PP and the output can be (submitted) including officers from the Transportation Agency," he said. Meanwhile, Head of DKI Jakarta Highways Agency Hari Nugroho revealed, the Kebayoran Lama Skwalk has a length of 452 meters. This Skywalk was built to integrate and facilitate pedestrian access to the Velbak Transjakarta Bus Stop (koridor 13), Kebayoran Lama Transjakarta Bus Stop (koridor 8), and Kebayoran Lama KRL Station. "So far, the public has asked that it is not difficult to go to that point because it accesses it in rather crowded places. Of course, this is a new breakthrough so that people can make mobility easier than the three corridors until their destination," explained Hari. In fact, the Kebayoran Lama Skywalk has been completed since early January. The bridge, which is equipped with three elevators and these two escalators, was still closed because there was one unfinished work, namely the revitalization of the Kebayoran Lama bus stop which was connected to the skywalk.
