JAKARTA - The Malaysian Ministry of Health (KKM) said the number of cases of dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) in the first three weeks of 2023 increased 226 percent compared to the same period last year.
KKM recorded 7,058 cases of dengue fever from the 1st to 3rd Epidemiological Week, 4,892 cases higher than those recorded during the same period in 2022, namely 2,165 cases.
The number of cases on the 3rd Epidemiology Week reached 2,319, down from the previous week which reached 2,520 cases. As of the 3rd Epidemiological Week, there were three deaths from the Aedes mosquito-borne disease.
