JAKARTA - Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Uno sees opportunities from phenomena that occur on social media as opportunities to advance the tourism sector and the creative economy.

Sandiaga Uno took advantage of a trending phenomenon to convey policies and information.

"With the right gimmick and accurate message, I believe the information we convey can be well received to 55 percent of the population of Gen-Z and millennials in Indonesia," said Sandiaga Uno, via his Twitter account, @sandiuno seen on Monday, January 23.

"That way, business opportunities will be created in the digital economy ecosystem in the form of creative content, ensuring the widest possible job opportunities," he added.

It can be said, the former Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta is indeed actively using social media, both Twitter and Instagram. Sandiaga Uno often uploads his activities as Menparekraf.

In creating content, Sandiaga Uno admitted to making a concept with his team. He started from 0 until now having followers on Instagram of around 9 million people. Meanwhile, on Twitter, Sandiaga was observed to have around 3.5 million followers.

It was through this social media platform that Sandiaga Uno communicated the policies he carried with his ministry. Together with his team, Sandiaga used the Mahadataelik technique.

"If we are flat, we only provide technology policy, 55 percent of our population is gen Z and millennials. It doesn't come out," said Sandiaga.
