PEKANBARU - Riau Province Manpower Service (Disnaker) has formed an investigative team to investigate Derison Siregar (23), an oil worker who died in the oil well of the Pertamina Hulu Rokan (PHR) working area, in West Minas Village, Siak Regency.

"The PHR has officially reported and the investigative team has summoned PHR and related parties, because the deceased is a worker from a PHR subcontractor," said Head of the Riau Provincial Manpower Service, Imron Rosyadi, quoted by Antara, Friday, January 20.

He said the incident was included in the fatality category, because the victim was only 23 years old and died from being hit by iron.

He explained that fatality was an incident where workers who were hit, fell, were hit, so his party formed a team to check work safety standards from PHR.

Toni suspects that the cause of the work accident is suspected to be due to the release of FOSV or a full opening safety valve from the hook of a water stake. The victim was immediately taken to the funeral home and this case was handled by the Siak Police Criminal Investigation Unit.
