President To Warga Manado: Let's Keep Malalayang Beach Cleanliness

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) inaugurated the arrangement of the Malalayang Beach area and the Ecotourism Village Bunaken in Manado. Jokowi left a message to maintain cleanliness in the area.

"The first thing is that we have almost finished the Malalayang and Bunaken Beach areas. I hope that all people in Manado in particular and North Sulawesi generally participate in maintaining cleanliness along Malalayang Beach that we have fixed and fixing," said President Jokowi in the inaugural video broadcast on the official YouTube channel of the Presidential Secretariat.

The reason is, according to the President, the government carried out the arrangement with a large amount of budget.

In the future, President Jokowi continued, the government will also continue the arrangement towards Manado City so that the capital city of North Sulawesi (Sulut) can get better.

"We spent a lot of money in Malalayang and Bunaken, we spent a budget of Rp. 96 billion. And we will continue this later in that direction, until the arrangement of Manado City will be getting better," he said.

The Ministry of PUPR has arranged the Malalayang Beach area with a budget of IDR 65.48 billion for construction on an area of 18,500 square meters.

The arrangement includes a 1.2 kilometer public beach probe pedestrian line, viewing tower, floating shop building, cultural stage, drinking stall, Pier Cross, jet ski pier, and connecting road.

Meanwhile, the arrangement on Bunaken Island was carried out with a contract value of Rp. 28.78 billion for construction on an area of 19,000 square meters.

On Bunaken Island, structuring work includes the construction of new piers, neighborhood roads, marked gates, Funiture Street, and Cultural Stages.

The work on the arrangement of the two areas is a form of support for the development of the Manado-Bitung-Likupang Super Priority Destination in North Sulawesi and is carried out by contractor PT Nindya Karya.

Furthermore, Bunaken's arrangement has also been carried out from 2020 to 2022 with a contract value of IDR 28.78 billion. The construction is carried out on an area of 19,000 m2.

The two regional arrangements are carried out in one package by contractor PT Nindya Karya.
