The Case Of A Father Of Three Sexually Abusing An Underage In Pemalang Is Still Under Investigation

PEMALANG - Pemalang Police are still conducting an investigation into the case of alleged criminal acts of sexual abuse of minors committed by a father of three children in Pemalang, Central Java.

Pemalang Police Chief AKBP Ari Wibowo through the Criminal Investigation Unit AKP Ferry Sihaloho said, after receiving a complaint from the victim's parents on November 22, 2022, his party immediately conducted an investigation.

"The initial steps taken included gathering information from the reporter, as well as three children who were victims of sexual abuse," said Ari in a written statement, Thursday, January 19.

From the victim's statement, continued Ari, the victim only realized that the reported act was a criminal act of sexual abuse of minors. Moreover, after the victim received educational material about sexuality at the junior high school (SMP).

"Allegedly the criminal act of obscenity was committed by the reported in 2017, when the victims were still in elementary school (SD)," said Ari.

explained Ari, the reported person committed his actions at his home, when the victims were playing with the reported child.

"However, it is suspected that the reported party committed his actions to each victim, at different times," he added.

Ari again explained that his party had also asked for information from the victim's teacher, to carry out an in-depth investigation of the case.

"Furthermore, we have also summoned the reported party to ask for information from the reported regarding the alleged criminal acts of sexual abuse of minors in three victims," ​​he said.

Although constrained by the lack of witnesses, the Pemalang Police continued to handle this case in a professional manner.

"We have sent letters of notification of the progress of the investigation results (SP2HP) to the complainants on 24 November 2022 and 23 December 2022," he continued.

During the investigation process, the victim received assistance from the Psychologist Team at Dr. Ashari Pemalang Hospital.

"We have submitted an application for the results of a psychological examination in mid-December 2022. Until now, we are still waiting for the results of the examination," concluded the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit.
