Many DIEd, Kepahiang Regency Lacked 100 Teachers

BENGKULU - The Education and Culture Office (Dikbud) noted that many teachers in Kepahiang Regency died and proposed to change jobs. As a result, the area in Bengkulu lacks 100 teachers.

He said, although currently many schools in Kepahiang Regency are experiencing teacher shortages, Nining asked that existing educators be loyal to time. If there are subjects that do not yet have teachers, then they can be assisted by existing teachers who have the ability in these subjects. Meanwhile, Kepahiang Regency has quotas for Government Employees with Work Agreements (PPPK) specifically for Elementary School (SD) and Junior High School (SMP) educators as many as 463 people.

Currently, the prospective PPPK educator teacher has carried out the January 16 Computer Asisted Test (CAT) test until now. Because, if the vacancy for PPPK for teachers reaches 463 people, he said, it also cannot cover the shortage of teachers in elementary and junior high schools in Kepahiang Regency. This is because if the vacancy of teachers is filled by honorary teachers, the school must issue a return budget to pay salaries from these honorary teachers. Therefore, said Nining, the Kepahiang Regency Government has prepared a budget for PPPK of 463 people amounting to Rp26 billion.

"Rp26 billion has been prepared, honorariums and others for PPPK as many as 463 people. The budget is prepared to pay salaries, selection and others," he said.
