NTB - Bima City Police officers arrested two members of a motorcycle vehicle theft syndicate who often carried out their actions with sharp weapons (sajam). From the arrest, evidence was secured for 12 units of two-wheeled vehicles.

"The vehicle that was secured was the result of the development of information from the two perpetrators in the field," said Head of the Bima City Police Satreskrim Inspector One M. Rayendra in his statement, Thursday, January 19, confiscated by Antara.

The two perpetrators who were involved in this theft syndicate had the initials EA (24) and A (22), residents of Sape District, Bima Regency, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB). Both were arrested in early January 2022.

Finally, on Wednesday, January 18, a two-wheeled vehicle suspected of being the result of a syndicate crime from the two perpetrators was found in Soro Village, Sape District, Bima Regency.

"If what was secured last Wednesday was revealed from the development of information from EA perpetrators," he said.

He said the police secured the vehicle under the control of a resident from East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) who lives in Soro Village, Sape District, Bima Regency, with the initials ML.

"The person we got this vehicle as a buyer. Now we also secure the person concerned (ML) on suspicion of being a collector of stolen goods," he said.

In this case, the police arrested the two perpetrators on January 5, 2023 while in a boarding house in the Bima City area.

From the results of the examination, it was revealed that the two perpetrators were involved in a number of thefts in several locations in the Bima City area.

Rayendra said that the two perpetrators who are now suspects do not hesitate to use weapons to do sadistic things when threatening their victims.

Furthermore, Rayendra ensured that his party was still developing. In addition to tracing the stolen evidence, his party is also pursuing other members of this theft syndicate.
