JAKARTA - Three junior high school (SMP) 137 Cempaka Putih students were arrested by officers on Jalan Cempaka Putih Tengah, Central Jakarta. The teenager was arrested because he was caught carrying a sharp weapon while in school.

From the hands of the perpetrators, the police confiscated sharp weapons of the type of sickle and pieces of wood.

"Yes, it is true that we have secured three junior high school students. They have the initials IA (15), AK (14) and MRS (13) have now been arrested," said Cempaka Putih Police Chief Kompol Bernard when confirmed, Tuesday, January 17.

Furthermore, Kompol Bernard said the students were arrested because they wanted to fight. They brawled from invitations through social media (Medsos).

"The incident happened yesterday and is still being investigated at the Cempaka Putih Police. We found a knife type knife and a blunt object," he said.

Separately, the Deputy Principal of SMP 137, Yusna confirmed that his students were arrested for being involved in a brawl. Currently, the students are still at the Cempaka Putih Police Station.

"Yes, it is true that our students were arrested, I am at the Cempaka Putih Police," he said.
