JAKARTA - The search and rescue team (SAR) combined Cilacap evacuated the body of a woman who was swept away in the Boro Dam, Purworejo Regency, Central Java.

Misda was found dead on Monday (16/1), at 09.30 WIB. His body was caught in a pile of garbage under the Gang Glagah 2 bridge, Pangenharjo Village, Purworejo District, which is about 2 kilometers from the scene to the south.

After being evacuated from the location of the discovery, Misda's body was immediately taken to Purworejo Hospital to undergo an examination before being returned to the funeral home.

Furthermore, Adah said the SAR operation to search for victims washed away in the Bogowonto River involved personnel from the Cilacap KPP Basarnas, the Purworejo Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), the Purworejo Public Works and Spatial Planning (PUPR) Office (PUPR) of Purworejo Regency, Banyuurip Police, Purworejo Koramil, SAR Sigap, RAPI Purworejo, SAR MTA, Orari, Cross-Border SAR, as well as assisted by the families of victims and the local community.

"The joint SAR team is divided into four search rescue units (SRU), namely SRU 1 conducting a search from Pangenrejo to Watu Merah Boro Kulon for 1.5 kilometers," he explained.

Furthermore, he said, SRU 2 conducted a search from Watu Merah to Ngelis Boro Kulon for 1.5 kilometers, SRU 3 conducted a search from Ngelis Boro Kulon to Cengakwak Rejo for 2 kilometers, and SRU 4 conducted a search from Cengakwak Rejo to Jenar for 1 kilometer.

According to him, all SRUs conducted searches using the method of sweeping by land and waterways (body rafting) until finally they were able to find the victim dead.

"With the discovery of the victim, the SAR operation was declared closed and all SAR elements that joined have been returned to their respective units," said Adah.
