SOLO - Mayor of Solo Gibran Rakabuming Raka ensured that the Sheikh Zayed Solo Grand Mosque, Central Java was full of activities during this year's Ramadan. "A month full event, full day. It's already scheduled there," said Gibran in Solo, Antara, Thursday, January 12. However, he has not provided details on what activities will be carried out at the new mosque, the pride of the people of Solo. Until now, the mosque given by the President of the United Arab Emirates Mohamed Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan is also still in completion period so it has not been opened to the general public. However, the composition of the mosque management has been confirmed some time ago, precisely before the inauguration on November 14, 2022. Furthermore, today at 16.00 WIB, a memorandum of understanding will be signed with the delegation of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) regarding the management of the Sheikh Zayed Solo Grand Mosque. "This is just the MoU (Memorandum of Understanding). This is the team first, from them there have also been a month here," he said. Currently, the UAE delegates have arrived in Solo, one of which is the representative of Mohamed bin Zayed University, Khaled Salem Al-Yabhouni Al-Dhaheri. Regarding the opening, he said, a memorandum of understanding would still be signed first. "The mosque has not been opened to the public. Wait a minute, this is the team first," he said.
