BANTUL - The Bantul Regency Government, Yogyakarta Special Region, has budgeted Rp4.4 billion to build a deputy regent official residence on the side of Jalan Jenderal Sudirman or east of the local government office complex. "The construction of the Deputy Regent's Office House is carried out for 116 calendar days, from September to December 2022 through the source of the 2022 Regional Budget (APBD) of IDR 4.4 billion," said Head of the Bantul Public Works, Housing and Settlement Areas (DPUPKP), Aris Suharyanto during the inauguration of the official house in Bantul, Antara, Thursday, January 12. According to him, the construction of the Deputy Regent's Office House is part of the Bantul DPUPKP activity, namely the construction of buildings in districts, sub-planning activities, construction, supervision, and utilization of buildings in 2022. He said that the official house or state house is a building owned by the state and functions as a place to live or residence and a means of fostering families, as well as supporting the implementation of civil servants and / or employees. "With the construction of the house of the Deputy Regent's Office, it is hoped that it can support the needs of the Deputy Regent and his family as state officials, so that it can facilitate mobility, as well as access in providing services to the community," he said. In addition, he said, it can be in line with the realization of Bantul's vision, namely improving the quality of the environment, infrastructure and risk management, in which the creation of a functional, reliable, self-employed, and balanced building infrastructure is in line with the environment. The Bantul Regent's Office house consists of one floor with a total building area of approximately 555 square meters, and a land area of approximately 2,645 square meters. There are core houses, guard posts, parking lots, household assistant houses, prayer rooms, and landscape construction. Bantul Regent Abdul Halim Muslih said, with the construction of this official house, Bantul now has a permanent deputy regent official residence, definitively, because after decades, a number of previous deputy regents still occupy their respective homes. "Alhamdulillah, after decades we have not succeeded in building a house where the deputy regent can be realized, this is a milestone for Bantul district, which today has a position as Deputy Regent," he said. Therefore, he said, with a long wait, Bantul inaugurated the house of deputy regent who is representative and this strategic location is expected to be used for the benefit of the people, the interests of the family and the interests of the deputy regent's house, so that it is a blessing for all and the residents of Bantul. "Based on the laws and regulations, official houses are state houses, which are buildings owned by the government and function as residences, or housing and facilities for family development and support the implementation of the duties of deputy regents," he said.
