The number of residents displaced due to flooding in Kudus Regency, Central Java, is increasing. Currently, it reaches 1,128 people. "The previous day the number of refugees was only 1,081 people, today it has increased to 1,128 people. Meanwhile, 29 villages have been affected," said Head of Emergency and Logistics of the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) Kudus Munaji in Kudus, Antara, Sunday, January 8. According to him, the data on refugees will continue to be updated, especially since the rainfall is starting to decrease. Of the hundreds of residents who fled, including from Mejobo District, nine villages were affected by the flood, namely Temulus, Mejobo, Payaman, Glupan, Hadiwarno, Kesambi, Kirig, Jojo, and Golantepus villages. Meanwhile, from Jati Subdistrict, he said, it came from five villages that were affected by the flood, including Jati Wetan, Tanjung Karang, Jetis Kapuan, Pasuruan Lor, and Jati Kulon villages. Meanwhile, from Undaan District, there are four villages, including Karangrowo, Ngemplak, Undaan Lor, and Wates villages. For affected villages in Kaliwungu District, there are seven villages. Among them, Setrokalangan Village, Kedungdowo, Blimbing Kidul, Banget, Garung Kidul, Prambatan Lor and Gamong. Then in Jekulo District there are also four villages, including Bulangcangkring, Bulang Kulon, Sadang, and Gondoharum villages. For refugee camps, he said, there were 12 refugee camps. Among them are those who occupy the Kudus DPRD building, places of worship, village halls, PKK buildings, elementary schools and TPQ. In addition to inundating residential areas, the flood also inundated rice fields in five sub-districts with a total area of rice fields reaching 8,095 hetares. To meet daily food and drink needs, 15 public kitchens have been prepared to prepare food needs for residents who are still surviving in evacuations and at home.
