JAKARTA - A Jetstar flight was forced to make an emergency landing in Japan after receiving a bomb threat.

Reporting from The Guardian, Jetstar reportedly traveled from Narita airport near Tokyo to Fukuoka on Saturday, January 7. However, due to the threat of a bomb, the plane had to be diverted to Aichi prefecture.

No injuries were reported. However, the footage posted to social media showed passengers descending via an emergency download and walking across the runway.

There are 136 passengers and 6 crew members on board. Five people suffered minor injuries when evacuated from the plane, said an official at the Chubu airport police.

No explosives or other suspicious objects were found during searches in the cabin and trunk.

"Japanese jetstar is working with Chubu airport and local authorities to investigate the situation," the company said, declined to comment further.

The Guardian, citing the NHK report, said Narita airport received an international call from Germany with a man's voice at 6:20 a.m. Speaking in English, he said, the 100 kg plastic bomb was in the cargo compartment of the Jetstar plane. The responder mentioned certain flights.
