SURABAYA - Surabaya City Government (Pemkot), East Java (East Java) made an emergency bridge after the subsidence road at Pakis Argosari, Dukuh Pakis.

"Temporary bridges are made of bamboo for access in and out of residents. We are investigating the cause of the subsidence of land on Jalan Pakis Argosari," said Deputy Mayor of Surabaya Armuji in Surabaya, Saturday, December 31.

Previously, the 15-times-one-meter land in Pakis Argosari collapsed suddenly on Thursday night, December 29. The incident occurred in front of the homes ofduli Wibowo and Lini Delina, residents of Dukuh Pakis, Surabaya. The depth of the land subsidence is estimated to reach two meters.

For this reason, Cak Ji, Armuji's nickname, reminded residents to increase their vigilance during the rainy season, especially before the turn of 2022 to 2023.

"At the end of 2022, we have prepared standby personnel from both Satpol PP, BPBD and 23 Puskesmas who will be on standby for 24 hours," said Cak Ji.

In addition, he continued, his party will also oversee the implementation of channel construction and pavingization so that land density is also taken into account so that it is not easily porous and collapsed.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Surabaya Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) Hidayat Syah previously said, based on information from one of the residents of the house when he was about to leave, a sound of a pot fell.

Then, the owner of the house tried to see and found the fence of the house and the entrance had collapsed.

"There has been a movement of land since yesterday. We also can't be sure because the area of the entrance to the main road is closed so we don't get caught," said Hidayat.
