Sah, Jokowi Appointed Six Ministers And Five Deputy Ministers

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) installed six of his new ministers in the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet. The six people were sworn in on Wednesday, 23 December or Wednesday Pon if using the Javanese calendar.

The six ministers who were appointed were Tri Risma Harini as Minister of Social Affairs, Sandiaga Uno as Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Budi Gunadi Sadikin as Minister of Health.

Then Sakti Wahyu Trenggono as Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, Yaqut Choilil Qoumas alias GUs Yaqut as Minister of Religion, and Muhammad Lutfi as Minister of Trade.

The inauguration ceremony was held at 09.30 WIB at the State Palace, Jakarta and began with singing the Indonesia Raya song.

Furthermore, the event was continued with the reading of the Presidential Decree regarding the appointment of the remaining Ministers for the 2019-2024 period and the reading of the oath led by President Jokowi.

"By Allah, I swear that I will be loyal to the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia and will carry out all laws and regulations in the best possible way for the sake of my service to the nation and state," read the excerpts of the oath read by the ministers.

"That in carrying out my duties and position, I will uphold job ethics, work my best with a full sense of responsibility."

Furthermore, President Jokowi congratulated the newly appointed officials. Along with the inauguration of this minister, Jokowi also appointed deputy ministers, namely:

1. Deputy Minister of Defense Lt. Gen. TNI Muhammad Herindra

2. Deputy Minister of Law and Human Rights Edward Omar Syarif Hiariej

3. Deputy Health Minister Dante Saksono Harbuwono

4. Harvick Hasnul Qolbi as Deputy Minister of Agriculture

5. Deputy Minister of BUMN Pahala Nugraha Mansyuri
