There Is Road Closure! Here's Traffic Engineering In Sudirman-Thamrin On Year's Eve

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency carried out traffic engineering in the Sudirman-Thamrin area during the 2022 New Year's Eve celebration. This diversion was carried out due to the closure of roads along Jalan Jenderal Sudirman to Jalan MH Thamrin.

Throughout Sudirman-Thamrin, the Mudi Young Night festival will be held on Saturday, December 31, 2022, starting at 20.00 until Sunday, January 1, 2023 at 02.00.

Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency, Syafrin Liputo, explained that during the preparation of the Saturday stage, December 31, 2022, his party narrowed the road by 2 lanes. However, vehicles can still cross the road.

"We will close the road segment in stages on Saturday, December 31, 2022 at 18.00-20.00 WIB, adjusting the traffic conditions in the field. Then, at 20.00-02.00 a.m., a total closure will be carried out. All types of vehicles are prohibited from entering Jalan MH Thamrin and Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, except for vehicles that are emergency," said Syafrin on Thursday, December 29.

The closure of the road section on Jalan MH Thamrin starts from the fountain roundabout in the Horse Statue area to Jalan Jenderal Sudirman at the Youth Statue Roundabout Building.

If there is a traffic density, the closure option will be expanded starting from the Harmoni Intersection Towards the North, Budi Kemuliaan East direction, Medan Merdeka Selatan Arah Barat, Simpang Millennium East direction, Wahid Hasyim Tanah Abang East direction and Wahid Hasyim Sabang West (situational);

"Situational arrangements for hotel guests / Embassy / hospital offices along Jalan MH Thamrin and Jalan Jenderal Sudirman in order to adjust the arrangements that have been set," said Syafrin.
