JAKARTA - A 74-year-old man was found dead when he was hit by a big motorbike (Moge) while crossing a road in the Jatinegara area, East Jakarta.

The victim, known to have the initials GAW, bounced off during a hard impact to death at the scene.

According to information from a member of the East Jakarta Laka Satlantas Unit, Aiptu Muh. Ali, the incident began when the black motorbike driven by the perpetrator came from the direction of PGC to Kampung Melayu.

At high speed, the motorcyclist was unable to control his vehicle and hit the resident of Jalan Tanjung Lengkong.

"The collision between the crossing and the two-wheeled driver was taken to the RSCM. The victim was crossing the road to the east," said Aiptu Muh. Ali to reporters, Monday, December 26.

For further processing, the driver of the injured motorbike was taken to the Hermina Hospital, Jatinegara. Meanwhile, the case is being handled by the East Jakarta Traffic Unit Laka.

"Traffic may be rather smooth (at the time of the incident). (it was hit) a big motorbike. The male victim is already old," he said.
