Christmas Eve Masses, People Can Use Free Shuttel Service Transjakarta Buses In These Six Churches

JAKARTA - PT Transport Jakarta (Transjakarta) provides free shuttle bus services for people who run the 2022 Christmas Eve mass until tonight.

Head of the Corporate Secretary Division of PT Transjakarta revealed that this free shuttle bus is on a route that intersects with six churches in Jakarta.

"People can use the free service from 16.00 to 24.00 WIB," said Anang in his statement, Saturday, December 24.

The six free shuttle bus services pass the route from the Cathedral-Monas Church, GPIB Immanuel-Monas, GPIB Paulus-Tosari, St. Ignatius Loyola-Tosari Church, GKI Menteng-Tosari, and GKPI Satria-Grogol.

"We hope to make mobility easier for people, especially those who want to worship Christmas Eve safely and comfortably," said Anang.

Meanwhile, on the security side, Polda Metro Jaya deployed a Bomb Disposal Unit (Jibom) to sterilize all churches in Jakarta and its surroundings. The goal is to anticipate acts of terror during the 2022 Christmas celebration.

"Before carrying out worship activities, Jibom also carried out sterilization to avoid unwanted things," said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes E. Zulpan when contacted.

The decline in the Jibom Unit from the Brimob Corps unit is also one of the standard operating procedures (SOP) for security. Thus, the 2022 Christmas celebration will be solemn without any disturbances.

Based on data, Zulpan continued, 1,385 churches were recorded in the jurisdiction of the Polda Metro Jaya, sterilization was carried out. Of course, by involving elements of the TNI and related parties.
