The Attorney General's Office through the Deputy Attorney General for General Crimes stated that the files for the illegal mining crime by the suspect Ismail Bolong and two of his colleagues delegated by the investigators of the National Police's Criminal Investigation Directorate were incomplete. "The Research Prosecutor said that the case files on behalf of the suspects IB, BP, and RP were declared incomplete," said Head of the Legal Information Center (Kapuspenkum) of the Attorney General's Office Ketut Sumedana in a written statement received in Jakarta, Antara, Tuesday, December 21. Ketut explained that the research prosecutor had received the delegation of phase I case files for the three suspects on Friday, December 16. Then appointed six public prosecutors (JPU). "The six prosecutors have been appointed who will study the case files," he said. After being investigated, on Tuesday, the prosecutor stated that the case file was incomplete, and would be returned to the investigators of the Directorate of Certain Crimes (Dittipidter) of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police to be completed. In this case, Ismail Bolong and two of his colleagues (BP and RP) were named as suspects for mining without a permit in East Kalimantan. The three were charged with Article 61 of Law No. 3 of 2020 concerning Amendments to Law No. 4 of 2009 concerning Minerba Mining. Confirmed separately, the Director of Certain Crimes (Dirtipidter) of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police Brigadier General Pol. Pipit Rismanto said he had not received any information regarding the return of the file because he was carrying out Umrah worship. However, he believes the case file is still under research by the public prosecutor. "I'm worshiping Umrah, it looks like (the file) is in the prosecutor's research," said Pipit.
