Police Investigate Collision Involved Police Service Cars In Jombang Died 1 Resident

One victim died in an accident involving a police official car on a motorbike on Jalan Raya, Plosokerep Village, Sumobito District, Jombang, East Java. The case is now being handled by the Jombang Police.

Head of the Gakkum Unit of the Jombang Police Traffic Unit, Ipda Anang Setyanto, explained that the accident began when the police service car driven by Briptu Fitron Tutus Yudha Pradhana drove from the west.

"Going from the opposite direction, another car appeared. He then took the left lane down the shoulder of the road, hit the rock and swerved to the right," he said, in Jombang, East Java, Tuesday, December 21, confiscated by Antara.

He continued, from the opposite direction there were two motorbikes that drove until the collision occurred.

The two victims rode a motorcycle, namely Ely Murtasiyah (43), a teacher, a resident of Trawasan Village, Sumobito District, Jombang Regency.

Meanwhile, the second victim who also rode a motorcycle was Nurul Yaqin (33), a resident of Bakalan Village, Sumobito District, Jombang.

As a result of the accident, Ely died. The motorbike he was driving was also heavily damaged. Meanwhile, the other two victims were only minor injuries.

"The first vehicle, the victim was seriously injured and died on the spot. As for the second vehicle, the victim suffered minor injuries and is currently being treated by a doctor," he said.

At the time of the incident, Ely rode a Honda Scoopy with police number S 4204 OAU, while Nurul took the Honda Supra number S 5262 WF. Meanwhile, the police service car driven by Briptu Fitron Tutus Yudha Pradhana type Isuzu Panther number 2245-16.

The police who received the incident report went directly to the scene and conducted a crime scene (TKP). The police also asked for information from a number of witnesses who knew about the incident.

The driver of the police official car who also served at the Porong Pusdik was also questioned by the police. Until now, the Jombang Police are still investigating the case.

"We are still handling this incident. We have also processed the crime scene at the scene," said Anang.
