National Police Prepares 2,629 Security Posts and New Year's Christmas Services

JAKARTA - The National Police will prepare 2,629 posts during Christmas and New Year. The post consists of security to service.

"There are 2,629 posts that we have prepared, consisting of security posts, service posts, and integrated posts", said National Police Chief Gen. Listyo Sigit Prabowo, Monday, December 19.

Security posts will be set up at places of worship, tourism, and shopping centers. Then, the post will be on toll roads or arterial roads.

"The main service posts are related to service issues in the return flow and homecoming flows both on toll roads and arteries", he said.

Meanwhile, integrated posts will be established to anticipate natural disasters. Later, the post will also be filled by members from other agencies.

"Posts in which there are relevant stakeholders include anticipating if a disaster occurs, natural disasters, especially very high rains, and matters related to these things", he said.

In addition, the National Police Chief, General Sigit, also conveyed the number of personnel involved in security and service for the Christmas and New Year holidays. There is 166,791 joint personnel on alert.

"In the entire series of security activities, we involved approximately 166,791 personnel consisting of 101 thousand Polri personnel. Then added from the TNI, the Commander in Chief said there were 23 thousand and the rest were from all relevant stakeholders", he said.
