JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) has adjusted the amount of life cost assistance (BBH) for interns or internships and dentists in the country.
This adjustment was taken after hearing input from various parties and officially took effect in 2023.
"It is our duty in the government to absorb input and aspirations from the community, including doctors and dentists as public service providers," said Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin as quoted from the Ministry of Health's official statement, Saturday, December 17.
Later, adjustments to the Decree of the Minister of Health regarding the amount of BBH will be made. The size of the salary is based on six categories of interns' practices.
Budi said adjustments were made so that the health transformation in the country could continue. For interns who choose remote areas, borders, and islands get a salary of Rp. 6,499,575.
"BBH in the DTPK area is given higher, with the hope of encouraging prospective participants to anticipate choosing rides in the Remote, Border and Archipelago areas," he said.
