The DKI Provincial Government Has Been Asked To Accelerate The Auction For The Position Of The Regional Secretary, PDIP: Handling Positions, Performance Allegations

The chairman of the PDIP faction of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Gembong Warsono, asked the DKI Provincial Government to speed up the announcement and the open selection process or auction of the position of Regional Secretary (Sekda) of DKI.

"If we want the maximum performance of the Regional Secretary, the faster the better (selection of positions)," said Gembong when contacted, Thursday, December 8.

Gembong views that the position currently being filled by the Acting (Pj) of the Regional Secretary of DKI, Uus Kuswanto, is not effective. Considering that Uus has served as the People's Welfare of the DKI Jakarta Regional Secretary.

Thus, the task of the Regional Secretary to assist the Acting Governor of DKI Heru Budi Hartono in drafting policies and coordinating the implementation of regional apparatus tasks is not optimal.

"If we want maximum performance, the sooner the better. The definitive position does not work half-heartedly," said Gembong.

"If it's like now, concurrent positions, it's a bit disturbing performance too. Now Mr. Uus' acting. Meanwhile, Mr. Uus' position as an assistant. If this is done for too long, it won't be optimal in building coormination and communication with all stakeholders," he added.

Furthermore, when the bid process for the position of the Regional Secretary of DKI is carried out, Gembong suggested that the chosen candidate be a agile figure, and be able to build good communication with other agencies.

"The key is there. Communication and coordination are important things so that they can accelerate the Jakarta development process," said Gembong.

For information, Heru removed Marullah Matali from the position of Secretary of DKI Jakarta on December 2. Heru shifted Marullah's position, who is now Deputy Governor of Culture and Tourism in DKI.

To fill the temporary vacuum, Heru inaugurated the Assistant for People's Welfare of the DKI Jakarta Regional Secretary Uus Kuswanto to be the Acting Regional Secretary of DKI. The plan is that the definitive appointment of the DKI Regional Secretary is expected to be elected at the end of December 2022 or early January 2023.

Head of the DKI Jakarta Regional Personnel Agency (BKD) Maria Qibtya said that her party was preparing an open selection process for the position of the DKI Regional Secretary which is now filled by the acting officer.

"We are preparing the administration (the mechanism for the auction of the position of the Regional Secretary). If there is, it will be announced openly," said Maria.
