Victims Died As A Result Of A Death Accident On Dewi Sartika Street It Turned Out That It Was Retired TNI

East Jakarta Traffic Unit Head AKBP Edy Surasa explained, based on the results of the investigation by the East Jakarta Metro Police Traffic Unit (Satlantas) investigators, motorcycle passengers who died in a series of accidents on Dewi Sartika Street, Jatinegara District, East Jakarta, were not active members of the TNI. The victim is a retired TNI.

"The victim is already an retired TNI," said East Jakarta Traffic Head AKBP Edy Surasa when contacted by VOI, Tuesday, December 6.

As explained by AKBP Edy, the driver of the Avanza as the perpetrator, drove from north to south. And when the car got out of control, the retired initial M was in front of the perpetrator's car.

"The car the perpetrator was driving was traveling from the direction of Kampung Melayu towards PGC Cililitan. Right on Dewi Sartika Street, to be precise in front of the school, the Avanza car hit the pavement until it was loose and could not be controlled. The car then hit the victim's motorbike in front of it," said AKBP Edy.

After the incident, the East Jakarta Regional Traffic Unit immediately processed the insurance and compensation files for the victims.

"Yesterday, we prioritized victims for compensation. We are still investigating the perpetrators. The driver (of the perpetrator) and the evidence have been secured, one witness was examined," he said.

Previously, it was reported that one member of the TNI motorcycle passenger died covered in blood after being a victim of a series of accidents between two cars and two motorbikes on Jalan Dewi Sartika, Cawang, Kramat Jati, East Jakarta, Monday, December 5.

The victim died after falling from the motorcycle he was traveling in during the accident. Meanwhile, two other motorcyclists were injured.
