PJ Governor Of DKI Asks Police To Join Allegations Of Subsidized Fuel Abuse For Building Development In Jatinegara

JAKARTA - Jakarta Governor Heru Budi Santoso responded to public reports on the latest Jakarta (JAKI) application regarding the misuse of subsidized fuel oil (BBM) in the building construction project on Jalan MT Haryono, Bidara Cina Village, Jatinegara, East Jakarta.

Heru Budi Santoso also asked the police to participate in handling the complaint.

"Regarding the public's report on a development project that uses subsidized fuel, I have read the report. It was reported to Bidara Cina village, Jatinegara," said Acting Heru to reporters in East Jakarta, Thursday, December 1.

Acting Heru explained that his party through the village had also followed up on the initial report submitted by the community. It will definitely follow up by involving the Police.

"What is clear is that the local government doesn't have to do everything. However, it will be followed up and if the subsidy has the authority of the legal apparatus, for example, the one who handles it," he said.

Meanwhile, through the JAKI application with the number JK2211280276, the reports submitted by residents are still in the coordination stage. Where the report was initially received by Bidara Cina sub-district and it was said that the report was coordinated with the Cipta Karya, Spatial Planning and Land Office which was written on November 28, 2022.

On Thursday December 1, the Cipta Karya, Spatial Planning and Land Service submitted a transfer of reports because they said that public complaints were not within his authority. The report was forwarded to the Jakarta Government Bureau picket officer.

From the report of the Government Bureau, it was finally stated that the report was being coordinated with the Environment Agency. They will even ask for support from the central government for handling the problem of misuse of subsidized fuel.

As is known, the construction of the building on Jalan MT Haryono, Bidara Cina Village, Jatinegara District, East Jakarta, was reported. It is suspected that the project manager abused subsidized diesel fuel (BBM) to operate their heavy equipment.

The report was submitted by residents through the JAKI application with the number JK2211280276. Where residents who kept their identities secret said the project was strongly suspected of using subsidized Solar for development needs.

"Allegedly using illegal or subsidized diesel fuel that should only be used by the poor," wrote the reporter in his complaint through Jaki which was made on Monday, November 28.

According to the reporter, the construction of the building should use diesel which is specifically intended for industry at special prices, not subsidized fuel from the government.

Therefore, the reporter asked the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government and the police to immediately check the alleged use of subsidized fuel used for building construction.
