SURABAYA - Chairman of the Indonesian Association of Forensic Doctors (PDFI) East Java Branch, Dr. Nabil Bahasuan, revealed the results of autopsies on the bodies of two Aremanita (Arema female supporters) victims of the Kanjuruhan tragedy, Malang.
Nabil said the two bodies of Aremanita that had been autopsied on Saturday, November 5 were Natasya Debi Ramadhani (16) and Nayla Debi Anggraeni (13).
"The conclusion from the autopsy process on Natasya Debi Ramadhani's body was that there were signs of blunt force violence", he said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, November 30.
Then, fractures in the arrangement of the ribs, and there is bleeding in the category of large amounts.
"There were rib fractures, 2, 3, 4, 5 and there was found quite a lot of bleeding. So that became the cause of death", he said.
Several findings on Natasya's body were also found on Nayla Debi Anggraeni's body.
Nabil explained that Nayla's body was found to have a partial fracture in the right rib arrangement.
"Then, her sister Naila. Also the same but it's in her sternum. The fracture is also in part of the ribs, on the right", he said.
Even so, Nabil could not explain in detail the source of the blunt force violence that caused the death of the two victims' bodies.
Because, according to Nabil, a more detailed explanation regarding the cause of blunt force violence could only be explained by the case investigator.
"In forensic medicine, we can't say what it was because of. But because of blunt force violence. To be sure, of course, the investigation will know", he said.
In addition, Nabil revealed that based on the results of a Toxicology study, his party did not find any exposure to the compounds in tear gas on the respiratory organ systems in the bodies of the two victims.
"From the results of collecting samples from the two victims, we have collected them from the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) and found no tear gas was detected", he said.
"For more details, later in court an expert from BRIN can be brought in who will examine the results of our 'Toxicology' sample", he added.
He emphasized that research on the alleged presence of tear gas compounds which was the cause of the victim's death was also one of the most important aspects of research and examination during the autopsy process for the two bodies.
"From the 'Toxicology' examination, no tear gas was detected. Because we are focusing on tear gas, for 'Toxicology'. For anatomical pathology. We focus on the presence of inflammation and later I will explain at the post-mortem, it already exists", he said.
