The Ministry Of Religion Agrees On The Amount Of Hajj Pilgrimage Fee This Year Is IDR 35.2 Million

JAKARTA - The government, in this case the Ministry of Religion and Commission VIII of the DPR RI, has agreed on the average amount of the 1441H / 2020M Hajj Travel Fee (Bipih) or the fee paid directly by the congregation is IDR 35,235,602.00.

This was agreed upon at the Working Meeting of the Minister of Religion with Commission VIII of the DPR RI in Jakarta, Thursday 30 January. "The cost of Hajj (Bipih) travel for 1441H / 2020M is the same as the previous year's Bipih," said the Minister of Religion, Fachrul Razi in his written statement.

According to the Minister of Religion, the Bipih paid by the congregation includes flight costs, accommodation in Makkah (9.71 riyals), and living costs of 1,500 riyals.

Although it did not go up, said the Minister of Religion, there were a number of service improvements. This increase includes the increase in the number of meals in Makkah by 10 times, from 40 times in 1440H / 2019M to 50 times in 1441H / 2020M.

Furthermore, accommodation services in Makkah and Armina with a zoning system based on embarkation. Third, the consumption menu with the taste of the archipelago according to the zoning of the place of the congregation and the origin of the congregation.

"And a visa fee of 300 riyals for each congregation is included in the Hajj Implementation Fee (BPIH) for the year 1441H / 2020M and is not borne by the congregation separately," added the Minister of Religion.

The Minister of Religion added that the approval of BPIH by the Indonesian Parliament and the Government is a crucial part of the cycle of organizing the Hajj. According to him, this ratification will be the basis for the President to determine the BPIH as stipulated in Article 48 of Law no. 8 of 2019 concerning the Implementation of Hajj and Umrah Worship.

There it is stipulated that the amount of BPIH is determined by the President on the recommendation of the Minister after obtaining the approval of the Indonesian Parliament.
