JAKARTA - The South Jakarta Metro Police arrested two women who carried out the attack on North Cipete Village Head Nurcahya while on duty to supervise and take action against the transitional Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB).

"After being examined it turns out that one person is a witness, he is at the TKP, while there are two suspects, later we will develop it again, the statements from each of the two suspects are different but all point," said South Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Budi Sartono, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, December 15th.

Budi said the first suspect RQ (22) was arrested for the first time after the attack on November 22, 2020.

Furthermore, the results of the development of the investigation of suspect RQ, officers arrested the second perpetrator with the initials PK (22) on Monday, December 14 evening.

The arrest of the two perpetrators was based on reports from the Head of North Cipete Village, Nurcahya, who was the victim of the beatings carried out by visitors to Waroeng Brothers.

According to Budi, the motive for the perpetrator to hit was emotional or angry because he did not accept being admonished for implementing the health protocol.

"Information from the person concerned because of emotion or anger was reprimanded for disbanding or carrying out physical distancing," said Budi.

In addition, the perpetrators and visitors to Waroeng Brothers were also caught under the influence of alcoholic drinks. Budi said the two perpetrators were housewives.

Both are charged under Article 170 of the Criminal Code with a maximum threat of five years in prison.
