CIANJUR - The National Police's Disaster Victim Identification (DVI) Team said it had succeeded in identifying three bodies on the ninth day after the earthquake in Cianjur Regency, West Java.

"Then today, Tuesday we have worked and succeeded in identifying three additional victims who died", said the Head of the Bureau of Medicine and Health Center of the Indonesian National Police Brigadier General Dr. A Nyoman Eddy Purnama Wirawan when delivering a press statement at the Sayang Regional General Hospital, reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, November 29.

The first body identified was the body with number 062/022/CJR/126, identified as Novi Kurniasih, a 31-year-old woman, from Cugenang Village, Cijedil Village, Cugenang District, Cianjur Regency.

"We identified the body through dental medical records and properties", said Dr. A Nyoman Eddy Purnama.

Then the second is the body with number 062/022/CJR/142, which was identified as Ahmad Kamaludin, a 24-year-old male, resident of Hegarmanah Village, Karang Tengah District, Cianjur Regency.

"We identified this through medical records and properties", he said.

Then the third is the body of 062/022/CJR/149 which was identified as Siti Haerunisa, a five-year-old woman, from Cugenang Village, Cijedil Village, Cugenang District, Cianjur Regency, who was identified through her teeth, medical records and property.

"So far we have identified 149 bodies. And the bodies that are still there (unidentified) in the morgue of Sayang Hospital are five intact bodies and two body bags consisting of body parts.

As of Tuesday, November 29, the National Police's DVI team at the Sayang Regional General Hospital, Cianjur Regency, had received 163 body bags of earthquake victims.
