Investigate Allegations Of Bribery From The Head Of The Riau BPN Regional Office, The KPK Asked Witnesses From The Kooperative Company

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has asked the company summoned as a witness regarding the alleged bribery in the management of cultivation rights at the Regional Office of BPN Riau Province to cooperate. Anyone who is summoned is asked to be present before investigators.

"Various parties who were summoned deserve to be cooperative and present, especially the companies that took care of the HGU permit and conveyed it honestly and openly in front of the investigative team," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters, Monday, November 28.

Ali said witness statements were needed to investigate the alleged bribery that ensnared the Head of the Riau Province BPN Regional Office, M. Syahrir. Moreover, the anti-corruption commission wants this case to be thoroughly investigated.

Not only that, Ali said the anti-corruption commission opened up space for the public to convey information related to this case. They can report alleged bribery, especially related to services and permit management at the BPN Regional Office.

However, the people who report must bring evidence so that it can be followed up.

"KPK hopes for the participation of the community to be able to convey various information which of course has a connection with cases, especially in services and management at the Riau BPN Regional Office when the MS suspect is still active in office," said Ali.

As previously reported, the Head of the Riau Province BPN Regional Office M. Syahrir was named a suspect but has not been arrested. He is suspected of often carrying out General Manager of PT Adimulia Agrolestari, Sudarso to deal with the extension of business rights.

In addition, Syahrir is also suspected of asking for Rp3.5 billion in Singapore dollars. The money was then given as much as 40 percent at the beginning and 60 percent at the end to speed up the processing of certificates.
