JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) noted that there were 171 aftershocks after the 5.6 magnitude earthquake rocked Cianjur, West Java on Monday, November 23 yesterday.

"Until 15.00 WIB, the total number of aftershocks (Total) was 171. Starting from 07.00 am to this afternoon there was an addition of 3 but from a low strength," explained Suko.
For weather conditions, continued Suko, it will continue to rain until the afternoon. This condition will subside at midnight. BMKG will continue to provide updates on weather developments in the next three days.
In addition to the weather, the BMKG also made microzone measurements. This measurement is useful for real viewing of the potential for earthquakes on the ground surface.
Suko said there are several points to be measured. Such as the areas of Panembong and Cilaku. BMKG, he continued, also continues to provide understanding to residents not to panic when facing aftershocks.

The injured victims touched 2,043 people while those who fled reached 61,098. BNPB, he continued, also recorded tens of thousands of houses affected. In detail, 22,241 houses were heavily damaged, 11,641 units were moderately damaged and 22,090 houses were lightly damaged.
