Patrol Car Hit By A Train In Sragen, 2 Police Officers Died

SRAGEN - A police patrol car had an accident with a train (KA) at the Dukuh train crossing. Siboto RT 11 Kalimacan Village, Kalijambe District, Sragen Regency, Central Java. Two people have died, one is still in search.

Head of Sragen Police, AKBP Yuswanto Ardi, said the incident was when a patrol car was about to cross from the east at the Dukuh Siboto RT 11 railway crossing in Kalimacan Village, Kalijambe District, Sragen, on Sunday, December 13, at around 23.05 WIB.

However, without realizing it, the Brantas Pasar Train, Senen-Blitar Department, was driving at high speed towards the Strada Triton type patrol car. Accidents cannot be avoided until the car is dragged by the train several meters.

Three victims boarded a Strada triton type patrol car, namely Pelda Eka Budi M, (50) member of the TNI, Aipda Samsul Hadi, (57) on duty at the Kalijambe Police and Bripka Slamet Mulyono (45).

According to the Chief of Police, Yuswanto, the three officers were conducting routine joint operations. When crossing a crossroad without railroad latches and without guard, accident, an accident occurred.

Officers immediately evacuated both victims and vehicles until 04.00 WIB. The bodies of Bripka Slamet and Aipda Samsul have been successfully evacuated. Meanwhile Pelda Eka Budi is still in the search stage.

The police chief said officers were still making efforts to trace the river to find one victim who had not been found. Because, there is a possibility that Pelda Eka Budi fell into the river near the scene.

However, the terrain is quite difficult and narrow, on the bridge and below there is a river with a fairly heavy water current.

It also coordinates with PT. Indonesian Railways (KAI) DAOP VI area for securing railroad crossings.

The police chief said the incident would immediately coordinate with PT KAI to pay more attention to the crossbar. Because so far, guarding without latches has been done informally on the voluntary basis of the community. Of course this is very dangerous.
