JAKARTA - The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) opened in the green zone in trading earlier this week, Monday, December 14. JCI opened higher by 0.49 percent or 29.01 points to a level of 5,967.34.

Opening the trade, 119 stocks rose, 20 shares fell, and 50 shares remained stagnant. The trading volume was recorded at 116.46 million shares with a transaction value of IDR 165.58 billion.

JCI movement in today's trading is expected to continue the strengthening trend, after last weekend it was able to remain in positive territory with a gain of 0.08 percent to the level of 5,938.

According to PT Binaartha Parama Sekuritas analyst, Muhammad Nafan Aji Gusta Utama, technically, IHSG still shows a positive signal.

"This indicates a potential bullish continuation in the JCI movement, so that the index has the opportunity to go to the nearest resistance level," Nafan said in his research.

He said, currently JCI has a support-resistance range at the level of 5,874-6,009. Nafan said the potential for further strengthening in the JCI rate earlier this week could be addressed by investors by collecting shares of PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk (BBRI), PT Ciputra Development Tbk (CTRA), PT Japfa Comfeed Tbk (JPFA), PT Media Nusantara Citra Tbk (MNCN) ), PT Sarana Menara Nusantara Tbk (TOWR), and PT United Tractors Tbk (UNTR).

Meanwhile, according to the analyst of PT Indosurya Bersinar Sekuritas, William Suryawijaya, the chances of strengthening the JCI are starting to be limited. The JCI has a support-resistance range in the position of 5,863-5,998.

"The JCI seems to be in a reasonable consolidation range," he said.

He stated, the continued capital inflow on the domestic stock market gave a negative sentiment for the JCI movement.

"As long as the consolidation range cannot be shifted to a better direction, then the opportunity for JCI to consolidate is still quite large. Today, JCI has the potential to move limited," said William.

So, in the midst of the potential strengthening of the JCI today, William is offering a number of shares that can be played by market players, namely PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA), PT Bumi Serpong Damai Tbk (BSDE), PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk (TLKM), and PT Summarecon. Agung Tbk (SMRA).
