Learn About Optimism From The Film "Tegar", Moeldoko: Countries Present For Disabled

Presidential Chief of Staff Dr. Moeldoko with the entire Tegar Film team, at the Premier Gala at Epicentrum XXI Kuningan Jakarta, Friday 18 November.

JAKARTA - The story of children with disabilities who dream of being able to go to school and have friends is presented in a film called "Tegar". The director presented a child newcomer artist who is also a disabled child, namely M. Aldifi Tegarejasa as the main character.

The 92-minute film describes the difficulty of being a born child in an imperfect physical condition. But with persistence and strong will, the figure of Tegar in the film, is able to prove that a disabled child can also do something like a child born physically perfect.

At the Premier Gala, Presidential Chief of Staff Moeldoko assessed that the message in the film made by Anggi Frisca, taught about optimism and was closely related to humanity.

Moeldoko also called on the public to watch the film which will premiere in Cinema on November 24, 2022.

"The figure of Tegar with his shortcomings earlier, taught us a lesson about optimism. In facing any situation we must be optimistic, either as an individual or as a nation," said Moeldoko at Epicentrum XXI Kuningan Jakarta, Friday, November 18.

"The Indonesian people must see this film," he exclaimed.

On that occasion, Moeldoko also ensured that the state was always present for people with disabilities. This is evidenced by a special regulation governing people with disabilities. Starting in the form of laws, government regulations, Presidential Regulations, to Ministerial Regulations.

"The state has never left you (disabled people). I make sure the state is always present for the disabled," said Moeldoko.

The 2013-2015 TNI Commander also appreciated the hard work of the production team which gave birth to an extraordinary work and provided access for people with disabilities to enter into acting.

"As a disabled coach, I would like to thank you for providing access and opportunity for disabled children to enjoy the atmosphere of being an actor. This may be beyond their expectations, but you can make it happen," he said.

At the same place, Moeldoko also handed over 10 wheelchairs for disabilities. The handover was symbolically given to disabled children, and witnessed by all supporters of the film Tegar. Starting from the Director, Producer, and the players.

Before being screened at Cinema, the film "Tegar" had conducted a special screening in 11 cities, and the BaliMakarya International Film Festival on October 17, 2022.
