Not Lost! 7 German Citizens And 2 Halmahera Residents Experiencing Damage To Communication Devices When Forest Expeditions

According to reports, the Basarnas team from Tobelo, North Halmahera Regency has joined the SAR team that is already around the Kao area. But they have returned to Tobelo. Previously, Basarnas Ternate deployed personnel to search for nine people who were reported missing in the Halmahera forest on Wednesday, at 17.10 WIT. Head of Ternate Basarnas Fathur Rahman said the nine people who had been contacted by telephone consisted of seven foreigners and two local residents. Based on reports from local travel agents, the nine people carried out an expedition in the West Halmahera forest. The agents contacted Basarnas to ask for evacuation assistance. BPBD and Basarnas have not submitted the names of the victims, especially the seven foreigners because their identities were not conveyed by tour guides to Basarnas and local BPBDs.
