COVID-19 Cases In Jayapura Plus: 49 Patients Cared, 2 Districts Entering The Red Zone

PAPUA - The Health Office revealed that COVID-19 cases in Jayapura Papua had increased. As many as 46 COVID-19 patients are currently being treated at the Jayapura regional hospital.

"It is true that there has been an increase in positive cases of COVID-19, so people are asked to implement health protocols when doing activities at home. Health procedures must be re-enabled when doing activities," said the Head of the Jayapura City Health Office, dr. Nyoman in Jayapura, quoted from Antara, Tuesday 15 November.

He explained that currently two of the five districts in Jayapura City are on the red zone list. Both are North Jayapura District with 12 cases and Abepura District with 19 cases.

Meanwhile, the South Jayapura District is categorized as orange with six cases of COVID-19, Heram District with four cases and Muara Tami District with a green zone. "Of the 25 urban villages in five districts, six districts were included in the green zone, while 14 villages were all categorized as green," he said.

Nyoman Antari admitted that until now the COVID-19 vaccination in Jayapura has not been distributed to the puskesmas.

Regarding the quota, Nyoman Antari said the Jayapura City Health Office received 1,230 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. "The COVID-19 vaccine has not been distributed to health centers because its implementation is still being carried out centrally," he concluded.
