Lampung City Fire Mall, Police Make Sure The Element Of Negligence Is Investigated

Lampung Police are still investigating the empty warehouse fire on the ground floor of Lampung City Mall. Several witnesses were examined.

"The police are still investigating by examining the witnesses and parties responsible for the location of the incident related to the cause of the fire," said Head of Public Relations of the Lampung Police, Kombes Pol Zahwani Pandra Arsyad at the Lampung Regional Police, South Lampung, Tuesday night, November 15.

He continued, the Lampung Regional Police together with the Bandarkampung Police have conducted a crime scene (TKP) of the fire that occurred at Lampung City Mall.

"The results of the crime scene will be sampled later and will be tested by the National Police Forensic Laboratory Center in Palembang," he said.

Pandra added that the incident occurred on Tuesday, November 15 at around 10.30 WIB. At that time, local people saw smoke coming out of an empty warehouse.

The community together with the local security then made efforts to break the door that was locked with a lock to spray it using a fire extinguisher.

"But the fire was still burning, so about 15 minutes came four fire engines and immediately extinguished the fire. About 30 minutes the fire was extinguished," he said.

As a result of the fire incident, there were no casualties.

Regarding material losses due to the fire that hit the warehouses of Shabu Kitchen G1 and G2, Mister Sumo G3 warehouse, Marugame Udon G4 warehouse, and G5 warehouse located on the ground floor of Lampung City Mall, Pandara said, each warehouse owner is currently still recording it.

Pandra ensured that if an element of negligence was found in the fire in Lampung City Mall, his party would process the crime of the responsible party.

"However, if the results of the investigation of elements of negligence and intentional elements will be processed legally," he said.
