ACEH - A total of 110 Rohingya immigrants were stranded on the coast of Meunasah Lhok Village, Muara Batu District, North Aceh Regency.
Muara Batu Police Chief Ipda Herman Saputra said the hundreds of Rohingya immigrants were stranded on the coast on Tuesday at around 03.25 WIB.
"The 110 immigrants have been stationed in Meunasah in Meunasah Lhok Village while waiting for the next step," said Herman Saputra in North Aceh, quoted from Antara, Tuesday, November 15.
Currently, Muara Batu Police and Koramil officers are still securing the location of the immigrant shelter.
The outbreak of 110 Rohingya immigrants was initially known by residents of Meunasah Baro Village and residents of Meunasah Lhok Village who saw a boat containing many people leaning on the coast.
"Furthermore, the residents discussed and decided to contact the village apparatus. Then, the Rohingya immigrants were taken to meunasah," he said.
He detailed that of the 110 immigrants, 72 of them were adult men and 32 adult women, five children and a toddler.
