Unlike Anies, NasDem Even Said That There Were Political Talks When Meeting Gibran

JAKARTA - The NasDem Party confirmed that there were political talks at the meeting of former DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan with the Mayor of Solo Gibran Rakabuming in Solo, Central Java, this morning. The reason is, Anies always invites politicians from the parties that are members of the Change Coalition to equalize their frequencies and look at developments. "Yes, every time Anies goes down, he always invites friends from the change coalition to sit down together to equalize the frequency, update each other," said NasDem Party DPP chairman Willy Aditya, to VOI, Tuesday, November 15. Willy revealed that NasDem politicians who participated in accompanying Anies to Solo were NasDem DPP chairman, Syarief Abdullah Alkadrie. "There is Pak Syarief Alkadrie, chairman of the DPP," he said. Willy said, his party already knew Anies' agenda was visiting Solo. He said Anies had invited President Joko Widodo to say he would meet Gibran. In fact, added Willy, Anies had already met with a team from NasDem, PKS and Democrats before leaving for Solo. "Yesterday we also met with the Coalition of Amendments, evening, Nasdem Democrats and PKS, to Solo," explained Willy. Previously, Anies, who is also Bacanpres from NasDem, denied discussing politics with Gibran. He considered that it was a relaxed moment of friendship.

"Oh no (there are political talks). We chat here and there. Later on, it's the presidential election. Now we're having a relaxed relationship," he said. "Then now we want to go to the haul event (Habib Ali bin Muhammad Al Habsyi). Hopefully the event will run smoothly, and I pray that Mas Gibran will always be healthy, facilitated in carrying out this mandate. We are very happy this morning to welcome him, have breakfast together and many things that we will discuss," added Anies.

Meanwhile, the Mayor of Solo, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, admitted that his meeting with Anies Baswedan discussed issues of public transportation and problems in the city.

"We talk a lot about public transportation and problems in the city. We don't talk about politics. We just chat lightly," said Gibran.
