BALI - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) stated that he had received reports that 17 heads of state had confirmed that they would attend the G20 Indonesia Summit in Bali.
"Preparing for the G20 Summit, I have received reports that everything is ready, 17 heads of state are present. This is encouraging in this very difficult time now," President Jokowi said, as reported by Antara, Sunday, November 13.
Jokowi added that Indonesia would fight for world peace and be part of the solution to climate change and economic recovery.
On that occasion, the President also said that when he received the Chair of ASEAN in Cambodia, he said that ASEAN must be stronger as the epicenter of world growth.
He emphasized that economic cooperation must be strengthened so that ASEAN can progress.
Jokowi and First Lady Iriana Joko Widodo landed at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Bali, on Sunday evening, after traveling from Cambodia to attend the ASEAN Summit.
